Today,we went to Moon Bear Rescue Center the place to save moon bears and this was set up by Jill Robinson who has also established AAF (Animal Asia Foundation) to help those poor animals. The moon bears is the national second class protected but now they are suffered from taking the bile by humans, and they can only live in the small cages without any freedom. Before I go that is all I know about the recent situation of the moon bears, but after this time I think I have a deep understanding of today's moon bears's situation which makes me feel very sad!
When we arrived at the center of moon bear security. We saw amount of moon bears through the bamboo fence, they walk slowly on the grass and enjoy the beautiful sunshine,I thought them live happily there but when we listened to the commentator's illustrations,I realized things are totally different from what I think. They were so poor that humans tried everything to take bile from the moon bears bodies such as , put a flexible pipe inside their bodies or put metal pipes to take their bile out their bodies, and to prevent them to hurt themselves humans let them wear the iron vests which are very cruel and unfair for moon bears this should make most of us rethink our behaviours and think about what can we do to protect the animals maybe not only moon bears but also other animals which are in the similiar situation with them.
One of the stories that the commentator told us about two moon bears left a deep impressive to me. This story is about a male bear who forgot things quickly because he was hurt by humans, but the female bear is the only one that he can remember and never forget. The another female bear who was grew in a ice-cold cage for almost 22 years, when they were saved by the volunteers, they lived in the same place , gradually there is a strong relationship between them, but when the old female bear dead not too long male bear dead ,either.Their mightly relationship moves me a lot.
Then we went to visit the place they stay I the daytime , they live happily there, we can saw some special equipments there to help them do some recovery exercises for example, there are some timber piles with many holes on it which are for the breeders to put foods in them and practice them to stand. Also we saw some views make people feel very sad, we saw a brown bear stand in the corner and can not stop shaking his head the commentator told us this is called ' stereotype' which is very difficult for bears to recover. Also this is caused by humans' cruel behaviors that we did before to the bears.
This time I have a deeply understanding about today's moon bears's situation , I feel hard to understand how can humans did so cruel things to achiever their goals. Moon bears are as same as us , they are one of the members in our big natural family, they should have their freedom not be captivated in the metal , iciness and small cages, they are not born to provide bike for humans but for appreciate the nature and experience their own lives!
Though we are not older enough and we do not have the ability to provide the medical and technologies acid to them but we can tell more people about their situations and advertise more people to stop buying anything that are relate with the poor animals!
