On January 30th, 36 students and 2 teachers from North American Center of Chengdu Shishi High School visited Richard Nixon Library and Museum in California, USA. Firstly, we watched a short documentary of President Nixon, telling his whole life and the life-changing moments, as well as some people’s remarks on him. Through the documentary we learned, although President Nixon has flaws, he is one of the most popular presidents in U.S. history because of his great contribution to America. Then, the tour guide Mr. John, who has volunteered as a guide in the museum for 20 years, showed us around the museum and introduced us the history of the museum and the items exhibited there. At last, we visited the house where President Nixon was born and the garden nearby where President Nixon and his wife are buried. This visit helped us learn more about President Nixon and the U.S. history during his terms.
